hop, skip and a nelson

listenin to: nuthin
workin on: training workshop stuffs

yesterday, as i listened to people, many people, having roaring discussions about women, women's day, lack of men's day etc, i wondered if things would go back to being just plain old ordinary day today. for some the argument of "why isn't there a men's day?" just hasn't managed to leave their very scary thoughts and for these few(thankfully) that is as far as their minds travelled yesterday.

so we have reached that very momentous time of the year when cricket season is just around the corner. my arms are developing the strength they need to wave that very proud flag hanging in my room and i am most certainly preserving my voice for when i need it at the grounds. hear me roar! and year after year, the same people and some new ones too (i really like the new ones) will start the same old question: you're south african and you dont suppourt south african cricket! so let's get this over with early this year before the season starts. i am south african, i am damn proud to be south african. from as early as i can remember i have always loved cricket and that indian team in particular. and no, as great looking as some of the players are, i can actually calculate a run rate, know what the duckworth lewis system is, and appreciate david shepard's dance routine when the score 222 arrives. so lets all be friends this year, minus the silly questions and just enjoy the greatest atmosphere filled environment in the history of the world.

why argue, when spin maestros, batting gurus and superb slip catches are there to be marvelled at. okay granted, very little of this exists within the local national side, but rest assured there are saving graces in other parts of the world... jokes okay...relax (lol).
