"you can choose your friends but you cant choose your family". isn't that the saying? funny thing is that i can probably prove that statement wrong. i reckon that it fits neatly into the silly quote bracket alongside, "sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me". understatement if i ever heard one.

today was a terribly-horrible-no good-very bad- day. yes, between jakjak's illness, bank blisters and pharmacy hiccups, i was ready to give up on the day by 10:30am this morning. my theory of becoming an audi-driving-cricket-mom was becoming a very attractive one. surely i was too young for all this trauma. oh minosh , what a drama, eat something!

but seriously, amidst some real stressful times, this family that we have carved out, really come out with stretchers, many bandages and most importantly ears to listen to the complaints and understanding. so today, as bigbig revelled in tales of zuma, luarali gave me a lucky feel-better pat, maria came and sat with me at the bank, doo worked all day(like non-stop) and james christopher worked so long and patiently on jakjak, i realised that even if at first you happen to stumble into each other by mistake in meeting, some of those people become family. so yes, you can choose your family. i think we did and it truly is superb.
