- In 1889 four ball overs were replaced by five ball overs, and then this was changed to the current six balls an over in 1900.
- The first international match was played in 1844. USA vs. Canada in New Jersey.
- India first played England in 1889.
- South African cricket remained in isolation from 1970-1991.
- This drought was broken with SA's tour to India in 1991 as the first international match.
- Cricket has made only 1 appearance at an Olympics. This took place in 1990 when France played Britain.
- India first played Pakistan in 1952 in Delhi, India.
- Charles Bannermann was the Australian who faced the first ball in test cricket.
- The record holder for the maximum ducks (zeroes) in test cricket is Courtney Walsh of the West Indies (25).
- The world record for the maximum catches, by an out fielder, in a one-dayer is held by Jonty Rhodes. He took 5 catches against West Indies, in India.

* Who won the first internation cricket match? USA or Canada?
* Who won the cricket at the olympics at 1990?
