where were you?

listenin to: ian and sasha on 5
snap of: marie and me at sa vs. aus pe

everyone has been talking about that fantastic win that clinched the one-day series for south africa. i've read articles, seen pictures and perused blogs, all of which have focused on what people are labelling "the greatest game in history". indeed it was spine tingling and superb.

and yes the revenge factor was there. south africa desperately needed to prove two points in particular- we are not chokers and secondly that a series defeat in aus neednt happen on home soil as well. but a clear head should remind us that a match of such magnitude has winners on both the winning and losing side. it must. south africa heroicly beat a score that australia had set. there were some stylish displays of batting on the australian side as well, timely running between the wickets and great fielding. i feel like it was one of those games where we will be saying "where were you when south africa beat australia in that game?" ultimately it reinforced just why the game of cricket is so addictively awesome. someone was trying to force an ecstatic comment from me after the game, to which i said, "i don't know if even my boys could have pulled that off." that's the best compliment i could give the sa team. hats off.

today i like: finishing stuff and the black eyed peas
today i dislike: routine
