listenin to: u2oporto by night, in portugal. hello home, i'm so most definitely back and it feels great to be back in sa. no really it is. the adventures through portugal and spain were superb. although there is only an hours difference between the 2 countries- the differences are stark. people, attitudes, geographical size, food and most certainly the language, shifts and changes. both are great places to journey to. portugal was green valleys, weddings, surprisingly good looking boys, stairs upon stairs and the coolest people. spain brought great music, a thriving culture, landscapes galore, trends and a city that never sleeps in madrid.
i was a virgin euro-tripper. but after this i can say: sure europe is great, interesting and a complete blast. but it is most definitely not the exaggerated image people pump it up to be. things we would complain the heck out of at home are often excused over there. ok granted, there are areas where europe is just miles ahead but so what. if the grass is so much greener, move. i do think sa (minus the blister called zuma) is bubbling, we have so much going for us and our people are just way friendlier.
either way, home is definitely home. one of the best times. back to the routine of work come monday with my numb-at-the-moment brain, but so be it. diwali is soon-yay yee. icc starts soon- can it get any better? yep... india will be here soon!
today i like: gorgeous sunrises in gtown
