think big for the real deal

so a beast of a friend is rounding off a theme he has been bloggin about. check it out at (http://menswealth.blogspot.com/)and what more apt way to end this series than with the really simple and phenomenal poem by linda zwane. the whole discussion about the sexes etc etc etc, is a discussion that i am sure has been around and will continue to be around for many many years to come. but i think the bottom line is that even the most hardcore human being does not want to be 5o and alone. so the secret ingredient (or one of the many) has to be compromise. there is no doubt that we are ultimately all different, some in more ways than others and less so. but even the best marriages do involve compromise on big and small steps and decisions. the trick is for us just to realise that we cant fight that.

and at the end of a long day, it really isnt about that aeroplane or train. really really and even truly. surprises can be as small as a reminder on your phone or a ready and waiting supper once in a while. it is not that hard and it shouldn't be. if it is that hard, you are certainly with the wrong girl. and i'm sure that with the real deal- even that aeroplane and train would be just the beginning. maybe that's how we'll know...
