honestly!

listenin to: josh groban
workin on: absolutely nothin

honesty is a funny thing. people and this is of course a generalisation, but yes many people say they value it above all else. or maybe little else. but some of my 'adventures' have led me to discover that for some, and sadly too many, the best kind of honesty is always: happy, nice, within the norm and not against any major way of thinking. this kind of honesty fits neatly within delicately carved glass boxes. very much bitter sweet to me.

many times i find myself curbing my words and thoughts. and i have done it many times. sort of going with the choose your battles wisely theory i guess. but recently i have realised that i, me, have not been true to myself in doing so. and i have seen that more than a few feathers are ruffled in many instances, short silences are heard and many 'uhms' uttered. sometimes i feel my frustration building up as i realise that i actually do not mean the affirmative nod i give, but i give it anyway. much nicer for the majority to have peace and harmony than for the majority to feel slightly winded and challenged.

hmmm still sometimes, many times, i do not like this pleasing business. the whole concept of being honest has been lost somewhat- and replaced with some degree of censorship. less than completely honest don't you think...
