tis the season to be cricketing

listenin to: josh groban

time to get back to the optimum matter at hand- icc champions trophy. i have been catching up on some reading about the matches and the dilemmas off the field. the south africa vs. new zealand match yesterday proved to be an interesting one. south africa won the toss and put nz into bat, but with that said, captain courageous still lambasted the poor pitch that was never going to produce runs for his team batting second. one article stood out in its reflection of the match, by comparing the 2 captains as "the old fox versus the young pretender". granted, smith has surprised me at times with his captaincy but i think there is still a lot lacking from his leadership.

india's win against england was not convincing. let me be the first to say it. pathan's inclusion in the squad was a chance decision by dravid, that thankfully paid off in the suavest of fashions. but still, india are not at the top of their game and i seriously hope they take some time off their diwali partying to focus on the mediocre nature of their current batting line-up. but... india still rock the party. well my party anyway.

for those that would like to join the best suppourters at the one-dayer in durbs, this november, it is going to be down right awesome. all i'm going to say is, come in blue!

today i like: sunshine
today i dislike: paperwork ack!
