this was a sad sad cricketing weekend. the real indian fan will know that saturday's loss was not merely a loss. it felt like any ounce of team fight had been left behind in india. we lost in the worst fashion possible with no sign of a steady batting, bowling of fielding line up. everything was off, our captaincy was shoddy (this takes a lot for me to say) and worst of all... we did not exhibit an ounce of fight. a die hard fan has never felt more gutted. it felt bad, we have been embarrased. and not because bangaldesh beat us-they did truly deserve to win. because they outplayed us in every department. but us posing as charlotans in heroe's clothes is no more. we need to fight or pack up and go home.
and finally... bob woolmer will be sorely missed...
