this has been an awfully emotionally charged world cup. what with india's disastrously early exit, bob woolmer's death, lara and inzamam resigning and many coaches either being sacked or resigning, i am just about ready for things to come to a slow and steady end. what should have been one of the best cups has tured out to be one of the saddest. but there is still the semis and finals to come.

i have joined the masses who are just tired about australia winning. no i do not hate them like most. they still play fantastic and superb cricket. but their lack of humbleness about the game is not something that is enviable or good to watch. for this reason, i vote for someone other than australia winning the cup. we need a change of fortunes, at least let things end on a high note.
