how to find a fairytale

listenin to: 5fm top40
workin on: writing

so my digsmate and i journeyed to the video store last night. our mission was to find a "complete and utter suky romance movie". yes, one of those typical "must have romance" movies. after we took a look at the choices we left with good company. we had reached the conclusion that this would provide us with whatever it was we were looking for that evening. in typical me fashion, i fell fast asleep early into the movie. so this morning i decided to see if i could get it right second time around.

there was no "suky romance-ness" about it at all. quite the contrary really. it was very normal, kinda funny and it tackled normal everyday decisions, poor decisions and good ones too. the funny thing is that everyone's verdict on the movie has been- nah it wasn't great at all. was it just ok because it did not provide that perfect fairy tale ending? probably. i actually enjoyed it and the mundaness and normality of it all. anyway what's so great about a fairy tale ending? the reality is that my "fairy tale" is probably very different from yours. maybe in order to put the fairy in the tale... i have to find the person who has the same story?

today i like- music
today i dislike- reminders
