i usually really enjoy visiting sites that have really superbly taken pics. and most times i enjoy seeing pictures that actually lend themselves to telling a story. the m&g website has a feature that backtracks the past week's news in the form of pics. today's slideshow was quite sad actually. it seems the only pics that made the cut were pics of violence, turmoil and all round general slaughter. one in particular stood it... it captured a husband's grief over his wife's body after she had died from a stampede. and i guess it could be argued that this is reality and a proper representation of news. and i agree, yes it. just kind of sad. the latest news story that has got the gory pictures rolling in, has been over the danish-muslim-cartoon incident. i do agree that both the cartoons and the decision to publish the material was disrespectful and a bad idea, to say the least. but all this crazy lash back action is not the right way to go about it... surely? you just have to look through a few slideshows that mostly show up the colour red, and you'll see what i'm talking about.
today i like: our new lounge setup
today i dislike: hostel tendencies (but i'm over it... no really i am)and this annoying sugarbabes song that i'm now going to be singing all day because it's so darn annoyingly catchy.
